Chicago Marathon Week 5 Day 4 (also 2 and 3)

Ok, so I decided it was just easier to do the days I’m actually writing and catch up in them as opposed to writing multiple posts in a day. Hopefully once school is over (the 27th. I know. Don’t even get me started…) I can be better about posting the day of.

So Day 2 was Yoga Meltdown Level 1. The one in which I feel I get the better workout. Plus the advantage of no face-planting. 🙂

Day 3… I ended up putting my rest day here and shifting everything else down one day. I just couldn’t make myself get out of bed. It’s ok. All will get done. If in a slightly different order.

And today…Day 4! This was a 20 minute “circuit” workout. I went with the run 3 minutes, do something XT for 1 minute option as that was the easiest math (20 divided by 4 is 5 reps). My XT was (in order) traveling lunges, a plank (ok, so this was more like 55 seconds…), bench step-ups, leaning push ups, and squats – with a 10 minute warm-up followed by 4 lengths of strides, and a 5 minute cool-down at the end.

Wowza. I was more beat after that than I was after my last 5 mile run! Definitely a workout!!

Oh! News!! I get to be a product tester for Sketchers GoRun (I’m pretty sure) Ride!! I should be getting my shoes in 3-4 weeks, and then I’ll be training in them. Assuming I’m allowed, I’ll definitely blog about them here. I have to see if there are any restrictions first. I’m excited!!
